Growing up in metro Detroit, where the 2008 financial crisis hit hard, I saw friends and family lose confidence and financial stability. This lit a fire—having a strong financial plan matters and I believe everyone needs one. I’ve built my practice by cutting through complexity, creating clear and practical strategies, and building genuine relationships. My goal is simple: help people feel confident and in control, no matter what life throws their way. I bring this same energy, clarity, and care to every client I serve, because I’ve seen firsthand the lasting value a trusted financial partner brings.

Q & A

Q & A

What’s something about you that might surprise people?

I’m a former 3x state champion wrestler and rugby player, and I now actively compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Off the mat, I have a growing reputation performing dive-bar karaoke—usually “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. Competing keeps me sharp, and karaoke is a humbling reminder to embrace new challenges.

Q & A

What’s one piece of timeless advice you often share with clients navigating wealth?

Make your money work hard for you. We’ll build a plan that puts every dollar to work for what matters most—family, travel, hobbies, or whatever brings you joy. The goal: maximize the most enjoyment from your wealth.

Q & A

How do your personal experiences influence the way you guide clients?

My personal experiences with money deeply shape how I guide you. Growing up in Michigan, I witnessed the financial stress of the 2008 crisis on an entire community. While my parents were affected, they had a trusted financial advisor and a solid plan in place, which allowed them to turn that challenging time into an opportunity—eventually even considering early retirement. Seeing friends and family navigate challenges beyond their control reinforced my belief in empowering others through education and guidance. That’s why I meet you where you are—without judgment—helping you build confidence, strong habits, and clarity around your finances. I especially love working with families and the next generation because I feel called to pay forward the same peace of mind and guidance I was fortunate to receive.

Q & A

What are the 3 words that people use to describe you?

Positive, Insightful, Committed

Q & A

What motivates you in your work?

It’s us against the market—and all the outside noise. I take your success personally, because I know what’s at stake. You only have once chance at retirement, so we have to get it right. When we do, we create invaluable peace of mind, giving you the confidence to trust that our team is handling it—and that you’re truly okay. Think of your finances like a well-run business: you’re the CEO, and I’m your personal CFO. I’m on your team, making smart financial decisions to support your vision.

Q & A

What’s one common financial mistake you help clients avoid?

Acting on assumptions—or worse, doing nothing. Too often, clients have the right idea but lack the confidence to act, held back by “what-ifs,” misapplied rules of thumb, or assumptions. Every financial decision we make together carries weight—you have a lot to gain or lose. Don’t let inaction or today’s headline derail your long-term strategy.

Q & A

What’s a financial value you live by in your own life?

Success is the sum of the small actions you take every day—compounding over time, just like interest. Success is also rented, not owned. Rent is due every day, and it’s on us to take action, no matter how small, to move the needle forward. “We don’t live off reputation; we live off our work.” – Dan Campbell

Q & A

When you are not in the office, what are you most passionate about?

I’m usually outdoors—hiking, hunting, or fishing—or exploring a local coffee shop or brewery with my wife, Kennedy. Most weekends, you’ll find us at Menards working on our latest home project. I’m also passionate about endurance sports, having run a marathon, biked 100 miles, and most recently walked the entire length of Manhattan.
