What’s one piece of timeless advice you often share with clients navigating wealth?

When there are big swings in the market, it is best to communicate with your advisor before making any big portfolio decisions. Having that conversation can often put your mind at ease and allow you to have a more prudent plan for the future, not just that moment.

What motivates you in your work?

I am motivated by helping advisors implement their vision for the client’s portfolio effectively. When I receive onboarding instructions, I leverage my experience in trading as well as our internal operations to present the best way to accomplish the client’s goal. No matter how good the intention, if the implementation is wrong or inefficient – it can make achieving the client’s financial plan much more difficult. My goal is to be as knowledgeable as possible in investments and our technology partners for the benefit or our clients.

When you are not in the office, what are you most passionate about?

Spending quality time with my wife Sydney, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends. I play in soccer leagues across the Twin Cities, enjoy biking, weightlifting, golfing with friends, and relaxing on the lake at my family’s cabin in Wisconsin.

What’s one experience that’s on your “life list” you haven’t done yet?

I would love to bike Highway 1 around Big Sur near Monterey, California. The beautiful views of the mountains and ocean would make it a highlight trip.
