Your wealth, your values
1

Your wealth, your values

Financial advice is about more than numbers, which is why we start by listening to your story, goals, and experiences that shape how you view money. With that understanding, we build a plan that aligns your finances with the life you want to live.

Retirement Plans and Strategies Explained: How to Build a Financially Secure Future

Household Income
Your household income strategy determines when and how money flows into your life—both now and in retirement. We start by mapping your projected income to see if adjustments are needed, considering factors like how long you plan to work, when to claim Social Security, and which pension or equity options best fit your goals. Working longer, retiring early, or even working part-time each changes the rhythm of your income and savings. The goal is to use every resource efficiently to create opportunities that lie ahead.
Expenses
Expense planning in retirement starts with understanding both your baseline budget and your margin of safety—the balance between what’s predictable and what life surprises you with. Once you know the true cost of maintaining your lifestyle, we can model different scenarios to ensure unexpected expenses, like home repairs or family needs, don’t disrupt your peace of mind. Most people’s spending habits stay fairly consistent, but life rarely does. With the right margin of safety, you can weather the unexpected and still say yes to the opportunities that make retirement meaningful.
Allocation
Your investment portfolio is your nest egg, built with care and intention. Managing it in retirement requires a new kind of strategy, one that balances stability, income, and long-term growth. We help you evaluate where your wealth is concentrated, how much risk you’re taking, and whether your accounts are working efficiently together. By simplifying and aligning your investments, you know that your portfolio is working for you to support the retirement you’ve worked so hard to build.
Longevity
Longevity planning helps ensure your wealth lasts as long as you do—and beyond. We build flexibility into your financial plan so it can adapt to changing health, market, or life circumstances over decades of retirement. And by organizing accounts, documentation, and family responsibilities, we help your plan continue smoothly if someone else needs to step in.
Taxes
Tax planning is about managing your lifetime tax picture, not just minimizing what you owe this year. We model different strategies to help you decide when and how to recognize income, take distributions, and realize gains in the most efficient way possible. By placing the right investments in the right accounts and coordinating across income sources, we help your wealth work harder and last longer.
Healthcare
Healthcare planning in retirement happens in three stages: before 65, during Medicare, and through potential long-term care. Each stage comes with its own costs, coverage options, and decisions that can shape your financial future. We help you understand what to expect, evaluate your options, and build a plan that keeps your care and your finances aligned through every phase of retirement.

We have been working with Jeff Clark and Dean Allen for a couple of years now. These 2 are really amazing at what they do. They are on top of their game in this field of wealth management and tax planning. We couldn't ask for a more professional company to work with. We are 100% confident in our retirement years, because of Jeff, Dean and the whole team at Pine Grove Financial Group!

My husband and I met Jeff Clark, our now advisor with Pine Grove Financial Group, at a class he taught in September 2024. We were blown away by his knowledge and only wished we would have had him around to advise us when we were in our 30's!

We have been advised by Jeff for nearly 2 years now and recently retired (in our mid 50's). Jeff helped us beyond retirement planning. He helped us build an emergency nest egg, balance our 401K's appropriately, create our will & trust, pay for a trip of a lifetime for our 30th anniversary (in cash), pay off a car loan in 2 years (vs. 5 years that it was financed for) and so much more! He even held a meeting with our young adult kids to help them get set up in the right way as well. In addition, Dean, another advisor who partnered with Jeff on our account, met with our daughter to talk about her dreams of owning a home someday.

I often don't refer people to others, but there is something different about Jeff and Dean at Pine Grove Financial Group. They are the smartest advisors around! They know us so well and it's not like the bigger financial firms where you get an advisor in another state who is using a cookie-cutter approach. They listen to what your goals are and work with you to make those happen. They lay everything out on a page and you are left in awe at the possibilities! We were able to retire young because of their guidance and advice. We are now living our best lives in retirement!

I can't say enough about PineGrove and Joel B - I had been with Joel for at least 10 yrs at a previous corp firm and when he left I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried - I stayed on at first wondering how a transition like that works, but after about 3 advisors in 1 yr I knew I needed to make the move to PineGrove - and I have zero regrets - they offer so much more than just financial planning - tax, estate, retirement advice, etc - I recently left a job and it was w/ the assurance from Joel I could do it. I can't recommend him and Lauren who has recently joined him, enough! Joel was referred to me from past collegues, I also have several past coworkers who are clients and have referred mutliple others!
